Bible Reading Day 259

Day 259: September 16 (2 Corinthians 7)

Good morning!

Today Paul writes about two kinds of sorrow: worldly sorrow is common, but it keeps things the way they are, and results in spiritual death. By contrast, godly sorrow sees sin, is moved to change, repents, and brings new life.

In these circumstances pain is a blessing because it causes us to change!

Paul clearly labored long and hard over the pain he caused the Corinthians with his third letter, and was delighted when Titus came with news of their repentance and life change.

How about you? Who speaks truth to you, even if it is painful? And who sees your repentance, growth, and fruitfulness? That must bring them such joy!

Have a great day!
