Bible Reading Day 285
Day 285: October 12 (Colossians 3)
The third chapter of Colossians gives us a wealth of practical wisdom on living the new life in Christ. This section of the letter is worth reading again and again!
Starting with a change of perspective, Paul leads us through advice on what to “put off” (cease) and what to “put on” (begin or continue). This concludes with advice on how to relate to one another.
The key verse is 17: “whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”
Then, Paul applies this principle to a range of human relationships: wives and husbands, children and parents, workers and bosses.
As you reflect on these instructions, and on the wisdom of the whole chapter, what does God want to affirm in your life?
Have a great day!
