Day 289: October 16 (1 Thessalonians 3)

Good morning!

Chapter 3 continues Paul’s recounting of his feelings, and desires as he was separated from the young church he had planted. They were having trials and troubles, so was Paul, and so Timothy went to see how they were doing.

To Paul’s joy, they were standing firm in the faith. Notice as you read today, how Paul is completely dependent on God for the outcome of his prayers and desires for the Thessalonians. That seems to make him care more, not less!

Notice that Paul also majors on affirming them for standing firm. He is going to bring correction soon, but first the bridge to their hearts is built by affirmation.

How does God want to affirm you today?

Have a great day!
