Bible Reading Day 311

Day 311: November 7 (Hebrews 3)

Good morning!

In chapter 3 we see the contrast between rebellion and obedience. The Israelites rebelled because they allowed their hearts to become hardened. They could not enter the promised land because of their unbelief. God saw every complaint, every bad attitude, every heart that turned away from Him. And the consequence was that God said they would not enter His rest.

By contrast, we have a promise of rest, and must be sure to enter into it through Jesus. Sin deceives us, so we need God’s Spirit and the encouragement of one another to step into rest in God’s love.

No more striving to please God, no more stubborn resistance toward God.

Who can you encourage to rest in God today?

Have a great day!

Mark.
