Bible Reading Day 319

Day 319: November 15 (Hebrews 10:24-39)

Good morning!

After reinforcing the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, our High Priest, chapter 10 moves on to teach us how to live in the light of this.

We need each other to live this life of faith – to urge us on, to encourage us. And we cannot be double-minded, following God and still clinging to sin. That is illogical and will bring us to ruin. The consequences of taking Jesus’ sacrifice lightly are much greater than the deadly consequences of disregarding the laws of Moses.

Rather than living in fear, the writer wants us to be patient and endure in our faith, even if (when) we suffer. Our confident trust is our sure foundation.

Have a great day!
