Bible Reading Day 351
Day 351: December 17 (Revelation 7)
Revelation 7 is a parenthesis in the accounts of the seven judgments. After judgment 6, John tells us that God’s people will be preserved. The numbers are figurative rather than literal (as is much of the revelation), but the message is clear – God will preserve His people.
Even those who die in the great tribulation are seen here rejoicing, because they are made clean by the blood of the Lamb. In other words, our trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection will carry us through any future troubles, and all coming judgments, into the presence of God. There we will rejoice for ever and experience God’s comfort.
What a wonderful promise to reflect on today.
Have a great day!
